About the project:
Our ‘Public Safety’ award goes to Cyberhawk whose camera-mounted drones can quickly identify faults in power lines in need of repair and alert providers of any issues before they can affect the electricity supply to nearby homes. Utility providers can view and filter the findings by severity on the in-house built software that offers incredible insight on the condition of their assets and action repairs accordingly. The result is a continuous flow of electricity to all who need it and the prevention of wildfires, which can be a cause of badly maintained assets.
