The ‘Defence, Security and Surveillance’ award goes to Modal Ai, for their work on VOXL CAM, the first autonomous perception engine that enables robots beyond drones with autonomy. VOXL CAM can mount onto robots, drones, IoT devices, unlocking a plethora of autonomous use cases with its modularity.

It’s solving an industry problem and is a very interesting idea especially being Blue UAS compatible. Being able to package everything into one product using open standards is fantastic, as is their keenness for making it accessible. I like the concept and practical application and would love to see more use cases and even outside the country of origin.
