Our category descriptions and criteria have been written to guide entrants on what content should be detailed in their entries.
However, we do not expect square pegs to fit in round holes and some of your business activities or use cases might not fit entirely with any one specific category.
In these circumstances, the descriptions and criteria are open to an element of interpretation and rest assured that our judges will still take into account entries that are strongly aligned with the overall context of the category. Counter Drone Systems (Anti-Drone)
This category recognises the systems and devices that are used for the identification of drones and/or pilots and/or interception of drones.
Sensors and Payload
This category recognises the technology vital to so many drone operations. The drone systems and additional payloads which collect information about the surroundings and environment for on-board (during flight) and post flight analysis.
Software - Captured Data Mgt. & Anl.
This category recognises the processing of the data used in drones, from sensors or payloads. Entrants must be able to show how the data is being processed either on-board (during flight) or post flight and the final output and its uses.
Software - Enabling Flight & Ops. Mgt.
This category recognises how software enables the operation of a drone, the management of its systems and how these systems enable an operator to fly safely and in a controlled manner.

This category recognises those who are working on all areas of access, monitoring or management of organisations in their coordination, integration and regulation of the use of airspace through hardware, flight systems, UTM and more.

This category recognises those companies involved in drone-based delivery fields, constituting one of the most publicised and obvious applications of drones.

This category recognises the work being undertaken in the fast becoming go-to choice for any land survey work, inspections, confined space surveys, mapping and more.

This category recognises those entrants who provide valuable services to drone companies which they cannot undertake themselves.

This category recognises companies providing insurance and financing as a vital and core area to the overall operational capability of performing drone related operations, offerings and services.
